The town of Gruene, which is actually just an extension of New Braunfels, has many things to enjoy including great shopping, dining and the famous Gruene Hall (the oldest dance hall in Texas) be sure to check out their calendar and order your concert tickets. During your vacation be sure to include a float down the Guadalupe and Comal rivers.
The nearby town of Canyon Lake also offers a great part of the Guadalupe River and lake activities, be sure to bring your boat or jet skis along for the ride. In Canyon Lake, the WhiteWater Amphitheater is another great music venue.
Landa Park and the spring fed pool is a “must see” and a great place to make some great family memories as well as the Schlitterbahn water park, which are both in New Braunfels on the Comal River.
A short drive will lead you to San Antonio, San Marcos, Austin, Wimberley, Blanco and other towns for many more enjoyable adventures. New Braunfels and Canyon Lake vacation homes are a great hotel alternative and each one offers a unique and worry free get away.
